Delaware Allows the Use of Blockchain Technology for LLC Records

Delaware amended its Limited Liability Company Act (the "DLLCA") to allow the use of blockchain technology for maintenance of LLC records and for electronic transmissions. Delaware limited liability companies may now use networks of electronic databases, known as blockchains or distributed ledgers, to create and maintain records. A similar amendment was also made to the Delaware Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act for limited partnerships.
