In a string of similar announcements, Airbnb became the latest company that announced it would no longer require its employees to settle their sexual harassment claims in private arbitration. This came only days after Google and Facebook made similar announcements about sexual harassment. Google’s announcement followed a 20,000 employee walkout (pictured) protesting the company’s handling of sexual misconduct allegations. Earlier this year, Uber and Lyft waived mandatory arbitration and remove the confidentiality requirement for sexual assault and harassment victims (for passenger, driver and employee claims).
