Important Deadline for NYC Businesses

If you have a business located in NYC, read on for important deadlines which are part of the new "Stop Sexual Harassment in NYC Act

The New York City Commission on Human Rights has just published the anti-sexual harassment Notice and Fact Sheet that employers are required to implement by September 6, 2018.

Further, employers with at least 15 employees will have to conduct annual sexual harassment “interactive training” for employees, including supervisory and managerial employees, starting April 1, 2019. “Interactive training” is not required to be live or facilitated by an in-person instructor. Additionally, the bill requires that the training be conducted after 90 days of initial hire for new employees.
